Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Salesperson to join our in-house sales team. This individual will be the first point of contact for customers, both walk-in and phone-based, providing assistance with product selection, answering technical questions, and processing orders. An ideal candidate has a strong background or personal interest in hot rods, performance parts, or the automotive aftermarket industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Provide product recommendations based on customer needs and vehicle applications
• Answer technical questions regarding fitment, installation, and compatibility
• Process phone and in-person orders accurately using internal systems
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of inventory, pricing, and promotions
• Upsell or cross-sell related products to increase order value
• Work with the shipping and warehouse teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment
• Maintain a clean and organized showroom or counter space
• Represent the Southern Rods & Parts brand with enthusiasm and integrity

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or technical degree in automotive preferred but not required)
• Previous experience in automotive sales, parts counter, or retail environment preferred
• Strong knowledge or passion for classic cars, street rods, or performance parts
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to learn product lines and technical specifications quickly
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with order entry or POS systems
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work as part of a small team

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Welder to join our production team. This role involves fabricating and assembling components—primarily for automotive air conditioning systems and other custom parts—using various welding techniques and pipe fitting skills. The ideal candidate has experience with MIG and/or TIG welding and is comfortable interpreting technical drawings and working with custom-fabricated piping.

This is a hands-on position that plays a key role in the quality and performance of our in-house manufactured products.

Key Responsibilities

• Weld and fabricate parts with a focus on structural components
• Assemble suspension components of various types
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
• Measure, cut, bend, and fit components as needed
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment
• Inspect finished work for accuracy and durability
• Collaborate with team members in production and R&D to improve designs and processes
• Assist with general shop duties as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or welding certifications preferred
• 2+ years of experience in welding (MIG and/or TIG), with demonstrated pipe fitting skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
• Familiarity with materials commonly used in automotive, HVAC, & suspension applications (e.g., aluminum, steel)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Experience in automotive or fabrication shop environments is a plus

We are currently hiring a Warehouse Associate to pull and pack customer orders, assist in production tasks, and help keep the warehouse clean, organized, and efficient. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pull and pack customer orders for shipment
• Assist with light assembly or production of automotive parts
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization
• Unload, stock, and organize incoming inventory
• Perform regular inventory checks and report discrepancies
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures
• Assist other departments as needed
• Inspect finished work for accuracy and durability
• Collaborate with team members in production and R&D to improve designs and processes
• Assist with general shop duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or order fulfillment experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Basic math and reading skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Forklift experience is a plus, but not required
